ISE Symposium 2024

Venue

• The Symposium will take place in hall 3 of the Convention Centre of the RUB. The Convention Centre (Veranstaltungszentrum, VZ) is located at the southern edge of the campus below the dining hall and offers an attractive view over the Botanical Garden and the green Ruhr Valley.

How to get there by public transport: From Bochum’s main railway station, you can take the underground U35 (CampusLinie) to get to Ruhr-Universität Bochum, which has its own stop. The U35 (going in the direction of Bochum Hustadt) runs every 5 minutes on weekdays and takes less than 10 minutes from the main station to the university. The U35 stop is in the north of the campus. You can walk from there to the Convention Centre (5-10 min).

How to get there by car: The RUB (Universitätsstr. 150, 44801 Bochum) offers several parking areas. However, parking spots tend to be difficult to find.

 

• The informal get-together and registration on Monday, 9 September 2024(18:30 – 21:00) will take place at Medicover, Bochum City Center. Snacks and beverages will be offered. If the weather is nice, we can sit outside on the roof terrace. The location is within 10 min walking distance from the main train station, the address is Medicover Bochum MVZ, Universitätsstraße 48, 44789 Bochum.
